Walk Like a Bee
Current, Digital, Research and DevelopmentWalk Like a Bee

Slow is the only way back to nature. Otherwise if we think rich, richness is our target goal. We cannot be slow. We have to work hard and rush. But the Karen philosophy, nature takes time to restore, nature takes time to plant a seed. And everywhere takes time. If we do not slow down, the earth will not have time or capacity to host us anymore. – Siwakorn Odochao, Ban Nong Tao
A collaboration with the Ban Nong Tao Pgak’yau (Karen) community, Siwakorn Odochao and new media artist Jennifer Katanyoutanant.
Siwakorn Odochao of the Ban Nong Tao community, Northern Thailand, will facilitate participants through an interactive “walking workshop” method to interact with the Pgak’yau forest and rotational farming landscape and articulate their common experiences around pollination, as a way to enable dialogue.
We will collaborate through co-design labs, together developing a technical framework for low network live streaming so that Pgak’yau elders can take part in environmental policy discussion and illustrate how rotational farming helps them adapt to climate change.
