RewireDigital, installation, Public art
Rewire is a large scale meditation on water and the future. It is an epic, sonic, spatial, elemental work made for the iconic Toxteth Reservoir in Liverpool, built in 1845 to hold and supply two million gallons of water to the people of Liverpool. Within the environment created at the reservoir, technology and magic will become indistinguishable. Employing bleeding edge technologies to conjure kinetic and digital landscapes, the work will exist as an investigation of the human body in space and nature.
Rewire is part of Liverpool 2018, a year long programme of cultural projects to mark the tenth anniversary of Liverpool being European Capital of Culture, welcoming international artists to collaborate in its creation. Rewire is a partnership between FACT, Culture Liverpool, Invisible Flock and Dingle 2000.
Rewire will run from 19 September through to 7 October 2018.
